We will be holding informal parents meetings on Wednesday 13th of December 2017.
For Primary pupils come and see all the fantastic work your child has been doing this term and have some refreshments and a chat to the staff regarding their progress from 1:00pm until 2:45pm, then you can collect your child.
For Secondary pupils come along and collect your child’s progress report, chat to their teachers and key workers and see the brilliant work they have been doing this term. Light refreshments will be available from 3:00pm until 5:00pm.
We would like to Thank all parents and stakeholders who attended our coffee morning to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. All of our pupils used their Home Cooking lessons to make delicious cakes and biscuits to sell with teas and coffees.
At this year’s event we raised an amazing £255.10 so well done to all of the staff and pupils, particularly Mrs Johnson for organising such a brilliant event.
The service was invited to enter students into the Vision for Education Photography Competition. The theme for the completion was ‘Out and About’. Callum Longstaff a Year 10 student won the competition with his photograph of the ‘Poppies at Woodhorn Colliery’. Tim Ayton from Vison for Education attended an assembly to present Callum with his prize of a £50 Metro Centre voucher and a digital camera to the service.
We have been successful in securing a grant to allow us to improve our outdoor play space at our primary provision. Work is expected to begin around February time and we really look forward to working with our pupils to identify the most appropriate equipment and having fun at play time.
We will keep you up to date with our progress and we hope to share lots of photos and plans.
