It’s Prize Day Friday! Joseph was Class 1’s winner, and Leo had the most ClassDojo points in Class 2. Well done boys!
All of Class 1 received reading prizes this week, and Jeffrey has a new home in Class 1. Great job everyone!
Prize Day Friday had a special award this week. We are lucky enough to have one of our Year 11 pupils come and work with Class 1 on a Friday. This week she has set a great example by achieving an impressive mark in an English exam. Well done Molly!
Well done to Jayden from Class 2 who has consistently improved his handwriting and overcome his dislike of writing in pen at the same time.
Now that’s a great attitude to learning.
Other members of class 2 have also made amazing progress in their handwriting!
We are very proud of you all!
- Well done Connor!
- Well done Tyler!
- Well done Dylan!

The Beacon Centre Primary celebrated World Mental Health Day, which involved the children engaging in lots of lovely talk about feelings over our world famous hot chocolate!
Special Educational Needs (SEND) is changing, and we invite you to tell us your views.
Come for a coffee, cake, and a conversation about what works well, and what you would like to change.
The event is on Friday 18th October, between 10am – 12pm, at Hedworth Hall (35 Dean Road, South Shields, NE33 4EA).
Places can be booked on the website, or by calling Robyn Bullock on 0191 424 7849.
The SENDIASS Officer, Gillian Harte, will also be there to answer any questions you might have.
If you can’t come to the event, an online survey has been set up, so you can tell us what you think.

PC Darren Lough and CSO Stevie G popped into The Beacon Centre Primary to build links with the school and engaging with the kids.
Class 1 enjoyed their time with the police, having the opportunity to test out the handcuffs, dressing up and they even got to go in the police car.
Class 2 asked sensible questions and showed they’re ready to join in.
All of the children said a massive ‘Thanks!’ to our brilliant visitors!

A massive well done to our primary children who’ve worked incredibly hard to raise money by being part of the Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning! Super signs were made and a fabulous service from our children.
Our store manager’s mam came to collect him, and made time for a cuppa and cake as she helped him with his shift. Great job!
South Tyneside Police were our first visitors of the day – It’s hungry work keeping our neighbourhoods safe!
Thank you to everyone for their donations.
