We are delighted to announce our new partnership with Kier Construction and, at the same time welcome Jack Brayford as a school Governor.

Jack leads the business development of Kier Construction across the North East and Yorkshire and sits as part of the senior management team in both areas.

Kier Construction are the UK’s largest regional builder and the construction delivery arm of Kier Group with their regional North East office based in Hebburn. They are prolific within the education, health, defence, heritage and commercial sectors within the UK construction industry and are involved with regional high-profile schemes such as the recently completed £43m Ponteland Schools & Leisure Development, the new Toner Avenue Primary School in Hebburn, as well as on site currently with Durham County Council’s new £43m headquarters.

Jack is one of the youngest senior managers within Kier Construction and is heavily active with a variety of regional and national construction committees including Constructing Excellence, CIOB and the Construction Industry Council. He spent two years as co-chair of Generation 4 Change, a future leader’s construction board and national subsidiary of Constructing Excellence and was previously on the advisory board for the national award winning social enterprise, The Skill Mill. He now sits on the Constructing Excellence Advisory Board for the North East and is part of their skills theme hub, a collection of senior leaders across the industry aiming to implement initiatives to focus on skills development within the construction sector. He is also currently in the final year of a Senior Leader’s Masters Degree Apprenticeship MBA programme at Teesside University, having previously attained a first class honours degree in Business and Applied Marketing Management from the University of Sunderland in 2015.

Jack is heavily involved with Kier’s corporate social responsibility activities within the North East and Yorkshire and has had wide engagement with schools, colleges and Universities across the North of England. He also has a wide contact base outside of construction and is heavily involved with the North East Chamber of Commerce as well as being a STEM ambassador.”
